December 2020 update:

New COVID-symptom entrance under carport

Westside Pediatrics recently completed a new entrance underneath the carport specifically for those very sick children that exhibit flu- or COVID-like symptoms. The entrance will lead directly from outside into one of our examining rooms, making it possible for our doctors to see sick children and limit exposure to the rest of the office, other patients, and families. This examining room will undergo even more rigorous sanitization efforts than normal to ensure health and safety. Please call our office ahead of time to see how this new entrance may impact your visit.

Flu vaccines

Flu vaccines are available by appointment only. Due to the high patient demand and low flu vaccine supply, additional patients will not be added to the visit once you are in office, so please book exactly those individuals who will be receiving flu shots. Please call the office before your visit to learn more about the change in procedure. Thank you for your understanding!

Extended office business hours Wednesday and Thursday

In Spring 2020, we launched an in-office survey asking patients about their interest in extended business hours. Over 100 responses were collected and the feedback was overwhelmingly supportive of the idea. As a result, and to also better accommodate odd schooling hours, Westside Pediatrics will be extending business hours until 6 pm (instead of 5 pm) on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting the week of August 31, 2020. The change will be tentative, pending any changes to school schedules and patient feedback.

COVID-19 / Coronavirus update:

Please call the office at (281) 578-5788 before your appointment for new COVID-19 safety protocols or if you have any concerns about potential COVID-19 sickness and you would like to be screened. We do not perform COVID-19 tests in the office, but we can direct you to the Health Department for more information about screening locations.

Westside Pediatrics prioritizes the health and safety of our patients and employees. We follow all CDC recommended guidelines, including:

  • Routine daily disinfection of high-touch, high-traffic areas after each patient visit; the facility is cleaned nightly by cleaning service as well

  • Continuously-running air purifiers throughout the office

  • Required mask usage by all staff and patients in-office -- clinic staff promote social distancing in the office as best as possible

  • Available hand sanitizer throughout the entire office

  • All patients screened over the phone prior to their appointment. Currently not accepting walk-in patients.

  • No more than one parent/guardian to accompany patient (to limit persons in the office); both parents allowed for new born's first visit.

We have recently received requests for office/school face mask exemptions from patients. Please note that Westside Pediatrics will not be granting face mask exemptions to anyone, without exception.

You can find more recommendations on the CDC website:

About Westside Pediatrics

At Westside Pediatrics in Katy, Texas, the team of skilled physicians provides children with the best healthcare possible to ensure balanced and healthy development. Pediatrics aside, the doctors also understand the importance of building a compassionate relationship with your whole family.

Children are in need of pediatric care from the moment they are born until they are fully capable adults. The team at Westside Pediatrics recognizes the emotional challenge that comes with raising a child and creates a welcoming environment where you or your child can ask any health-related questions. Westside Pediatrics genuinely treats each child as though they were their own.

You may schedule an appointment with the team the moment your child is born (don't wait!) and can continue using Westside Pediatrics until they graduate from high school. Expecting mothers are also encouraged to schedule an interview with one of the doctors to learn more about the practice and what they can expect for their newborn in the initial years of their development.
